I bought the gungnir about 2 years ago and have the synology. No issues here. Worked right away. The only time i had an issue was once because of a synology software update which had a bug, but i think that would have affected any dac.

so any luck? i have the DS212 (i think). i have DS audio on my ipad, and have the NAS connected to an arcam iDac via USD, which is connected to my integrated amp. arcam was not listed on synology's list either but it worked in the end. it sounds like your bitfrost does too. is it still working well for you? i want to get a gungnir so i am hoping that schiit and synology play well together.
