Thanks. And thanks for the quick response. I connected it to your new power supply that I received today no.004. with an Odin power cord and the sound after only 3 hours of breaking in is wonderful, full, wide, very detailed and very analog sounding. Thanks for a great product! -
Rendu Support Thread

2 setup questions: Received the Sonore power supply tonite, connected the microRendu to an Airport Extreme and the USB to a Berkeley Alpha that is connected to a Berkeley. Reference, enabled MicroRendu in Roon on my MacbookPro. At the website on the Settings tab the Audio Device is grayed out and says USB Output and I cannot enter the Berkeley. Is this normal? On the microRendu the center light is green and the right light is blinking amber. Is this Ok? Sound is flowing. I am inquiring because it seems I Could not enter an output device. Thanks -

Article: Sonore microRendu Review, Part 1

I've ordered a MicroRendu but am uncertain as to the best way to connect it via Ethernet. I have a 3 TB LaCie Drive connected by Thunderbolt cable to my Macbook Pro (with Roon installed) which connects via USB to my Berkeley Alpha then Reference. A simple system with 2 Lacie backups that works very well, but I want the better sound quality of the MicroRendu. What is the best way for me to install the ethernet connection for the MicroRendu? Do I simply install a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter (which may degrade sound quality), switch to a hard drive with ethernet output or bite the bullet and install a NAS? I do not anticipate ever needing more than 2-3 TBs. IF NAS is the best way to go, any recommendations as to a NAS that would sound best? Thanks, Merek -
I agree with your analysis. 2.4 improves the sound but the low base is excessively boomy. One of the tracks I use to demo my system is the "If I were a Rich Man" track on the 192.24 HD Tracks download. While my guests were impressed with the sound quality, I very much noticed the boominess on deep material that was not present in the prior A+ version.

Thank you SavantGarde!!!

I cannot delete synch folders from my Audirvana library. I can add folders but not delete. I connect to my Macbook Pro with a 3tb Lacie drive which is open. My music files now have duplicates. I need to resynch to delete the doubles. I could delete 2 days ago, but not today.

Jud, Thanks for your response. I was not aware of the Audirvana database. Under Audirvana Preferences Library the database is set as Library/ApplicationSupport/Audirvana but I cannot locate it. I will try to find it again tonight. Deleting the database files and starting over would solve my problem. Thanks again.

Would simply trashing the A+ database files be OK for you? Jud, I do not understand your response. My music library is on my hard drive. It is not an A+ database. It is my music library. I fixed the metadata there. I can again synch with A+ but I'm stuck with a copy of my music library in the Library Recycle bin. I need to empty the Recycle bin. How do I empty it without sending my music library to trash.
-
I must be missing something basic, but how do I permanently delete tracks in the Library Recycle Bin without deleting the files from my music files on my attached Lacie hard drive. Apparently you cannot delete from the Library Recycle Bin without deleting the actual music file on the hard drive. In order to fix various metadata I decided to start over and removed all music from the Audirvana library but now need to remove it from the Library Recycle Bin as well.
