  1. I also have an original Eames Lounge with the Ottoman and spend way too much time in it listening to music and working on my laptop. I have a stand up desk with a large external monitor right beside me but I can't resist sitting in the "sweet spot" in the Eames and working on my laptop screen. I'll gladly sacrifice screen real estate for comfort and sound quality. It's by far the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in. As mentioned the back doesn't go up behind your head but that's not a problem for me… years of sitting in it has made my neck muscles strong It's not that low. My LS50's are right at ear height when I'm not slouching in the chair. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
  2. The ability to see individual albums in artist and playlist view in the iOS app is fantastic. The only thing I would wish for is an option to sort by date instead of by title.
  3. I may still get an Auralic Mini at some point but want to wait until the addons for the Mojo are available. The Mojo Wifi addon sounds nice and would allow me to use minimserver on my Synology again. Alternatively an option with the Auralic Mini is having an SSD inside… also something that appeals to me. Right now I'm just enjoying the Mojo. It's quite an amazing little thing!
  4. Hi Teresa, The DAC started acting up about a year ago so that would make it about 2 years old at that point.I wouldn't worry about it though, it's probably just bad luck on my part. I'm sure your Teac DAC will be fine
  5. I thought I'd update this thread since I finally made a purchase. Yesterday I received a Chord Mojo. It's early days but so far all I can say is WOW. Thanks to everyone who offered advice.
  6. So you would choose the 2Qute over the Gungnir Multibit but would choose the Yggdrasil over the 2Qute?
  7. I thought about this… the problem for me would be that I have the need for 2 sources. 1) Mac Mini - Roon - Optical out (after reading your comment about the USB on the Mojo not being great) 2) Apple TV 4 - HDMI - TV - Optical out I'm quite sure I'd be very impressed by the sound of the Mojo coming from an iPad or iPhone but having to disconnect optical from the iPad/iPhone and plug in the optical from the TV would be a PITA.
  8. My brother has the Bitfrost and is very pleased with it. He only uses it with headphones in a work environment. I think if I got the "Bimby" I'd be plagued with the "I wonder if I should have got the Gungnir" thoughts. :\
  9. Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. It has given me a lot to consider! I'm drawn to two options right now. 1) Chord 2Qute 2) Schiit Gungnir Multibit I still have to wait a few weeks to pull the trigger so any more input is welcome! Thanks again, Chris
  10. $1,995 US = $2,910 CDN. I guess this is a bad time to be looking at anything made in the USA
  11. Does using a lightning to usb connector bypass the DAC in the iPhone? edit: looks like it does. I work form home and have music on all day so i'm not sure having to charge it every day would be ideal.
