I have several hundred master DATs and cassettes that have music that I would like to transfer to FLAC files for long-term archival purposes. I would like to convert these to files on my computer that I could edit as necessary prior to conversion to FLAC.
Wondering if there is a standalone device that you might recommend that I could input SPDIF or RCA and have it convert on the fly into a digitial file that could be inputted into my computer (PC) via USB? I don't have a decent sound card but perhaps that would be the best option?
A standalone unit would be preferred so that I could use it on different computers.
