  1. I just finished ripping my collection of some 350 albums to FLAC using dBpoweramp. Most of my tracks tested Accurate in that program, and the ones that didn't were re-ripped in Secure mode until they came out either Accurate or Secure. It took some work, but I finally got the entire collection (minus a track here or there) to read Accurate, with a few Secures. Here's where my problem comes in. Just tonight, I scanned my new FLAC collection with PerfectTunes AccurateRip, which is ostensibly performing the same check dBpoweramp was doing. To my shock and dismay, PT told me 43 of my albums had ripping errors: a total of over a hundred tracks! Some of these CDs were fresh out of the shrinkwrap, too. Assuming that there had to be a mistake, I loaded one of the tracks -- a short one -- into foobar2000 for a listen. To my amazement, I noticed some ticks in the audio! Can it be possible that dBpoweramp misled me about all of these tracks? Or is PerfectTunes giving me a heart attack for no reason? Shouldn't AccurateRip be the same in both programs? What happened here?
