  1. Hello David, your experience mirrors mine from 8 months ago. So much that I just purchased a second ER ... if it helps - great. If not, I'll have a spare. It is the highest return on tweaking dollar I have spent by far.
  2. I performed all of my initial listening with the stock power supply. I then tried: 75ohm output by BG7TBL 10MHz OCXO FREQUENCY STANDARD 3 channel square wave clock Master Clock for your EtherREGEN from Aliexpress. Adding it took back 3/4 of the gains. If you doubt that, I have one for sale. I then added: 50VA+50VA HIFI Linear Power Supply 2 Way LPS DC 5V/ 9V/ 12V / 15V / 18V /19V/24V from Aliexpress. Well, it didn't hurt and I would be exaggerating a little to say it helped. It's staying, however. Bottom line: save your money on the cheap improvements (IMHO)
  3. This could be the shortest review ever ... The EtherRegen improved every aspect of my digital playback system. I was willing to pay $2,500 for this improvement and the only "tweak" that rivals it is when I added a PS Audio P15 Powerplant that cost me $6,000. For those who need more. I read the reviews, mostly extremely positive and adjusted my expectations down because, after all, I had already paid so much attention on my system. Well, I wish I had a photo from when I played the first song, strike that, the first note of the first song, a guitar strum with enhanced clarity, depth, texture and less glaze. One note was all it took. Since then, two weeks in, I have enjoyed becoming more intimately acquainted with my collection. It has improved micro and macro dynamics, sense of air, instrumental separation, soundstage width and depth. My first thought was ... hmmm cleaner sound, but also more texture. You cannot lose. Next on my audiophile journey is an Antipodes K50 (at least $12,000) or an AQUA Linq (at least $6,000). I can only hope that they improve my SQ as much as EtherRegen ($640).
  4. I just placed an order for a 5 VDC power supply. I'm so grateful I found this USA supplier for quality linear power supplies. My unit arrived within 8 days and it is well-built, attractive (red) and came with its own AC power cord. My only regret is that I spent so much time on EBAY trying to figure out which among Chinese suppliers was the way to go. Welborne scored this time. Richard in Boston
  5. Chris, I see that you used the new Signature Series Rendu. Had you reviewed that before? I'm considering acquiring that, but you really didn't have anything to say. Care to give your impressions? thanks, Richard
  6. Hey, I thought you would like to see my new DAC! So far (3 weeks), it's living up to its sterling reputation. So, I decided to dress it up. What do you think? I can share who did this fine work, and at a fair price. Richard
