Interesting question, as i was facing also some lip sync issues with some DACs (Arcam, Abacus) in former times while connecting them to spdif of oppo 105 it would really be interesting, if the pwd mk II does the same or not....? Other DACs e.g. Musical Fidelity Mx or Goldnote CD1000 worked well....

I am also using USB, so the signal seems to have to much jitter, that the D33 looses the PLL lock...

I am aboslutely not happy with my new aries, the app is such a crap that I am thinking about switching to an macbook solution instead. So is there any trusted comparism in SQ e.g. done by one of you guys? What exactly is the Aries better in? If so :-)

oh Ok, now I can hear the music but after every 5s there is a break :-( I am using an arcam d33 as dac.

just received my aries, is it not capable of dsd to pcm convertion?

Hi there, any update on this? I am right now using an Oppo 105 to play SACDs directly while everything else is sent via coax to the Arcam D33. I have tried to use an HDMI De-embedder, but it produces so much jitter, that the D33 makes cracking noise. So at the moment I only can play redbook via the better Arcam DAC :-( My main system is an Auralic Aries that is also feeding the D33. BR flo

And connect the NAS by Wifi or better cable? and does it have to be such an expensive NAS like yours? Why?

Hi Guys, thinking about a Switch from macmini to aries. which Kind of Hdd to prefer? NAS or USB? Which one? which Kind of connection to my Arcam D33? AES or USB? Which cable? BR Flo

So if I stream the Data via HDMI from my Oppo 105 to the NAD, DSD would also work?

The sa14s1 unfortunately has no balanced outputs...

So can you now say the cds3000 is a good deal or not? i was also looking at first on the marantz sa11s3 but without dsd capabilty it is no more real good investment :-( any other ideas?

Oh ok thx, I was in the wrong list...did anyone compare different dsd dacs? Are the differences as huge as with normal dacs?
