  1. Due to the inadequacy of my iPad Mini 1, I'm back to using Kazoo for the time being (or until the iPad Pro comes out).
  2. ReadyNas Pro 6/iPad Mini 1st gen user here. Setup went fine and so far no issues (crossing fingers) Am I the only one who appreciates the addition of "Last Modify Date" sorting? Now I don't need to open up JRiver to see recently added albums.
  3. Wow. Pour yourself a stiff one, you deserve it. **In my own experience**, yes it just works without tweaking. I had mine up and running in less than an hour. And many if not all of the issues related to Lightning DS have been ironed out nearly one year on.
  4. FWIW, I discovered that my Kazoo issues were caused by my DAC, which has an annoying habit of occasionally switching on its own from USB 2.0 mode to USB 1.0.
  5. Update: After letting an album play through to the end, I went back to play others which earlier could not be played on Kazoo, and now they play just fine using both the Mac and iPad version. A little weird, but good news nonetheless.
  6. On both my iPad and Mac, Kazoo "sees" my music collection, but clicking the play button now results in "Audio not available". However, once I start playback of an album with Lightning DS, I can stop and restart it on Kazoo, and even the "next track" "previous track" buttons work. But only for that album.
  7. This makes my day. Long have I dreaded the forced relocation to "A" (and subsequent recovery scrolling) after browsing, say, my Zappa collection.
  8. Thanks for the heads up, Barr. As a long-time Kinsky user, I've been intrigued by Kazoo but like many others could never get it to work on the Mac, so this is great news.
  9. It'll be interesting to see how the N-50A/N-70A compare soundwise with Pioneer's Elite SC-89 AVR and BDP-88FD universal player, which can both stream 5.6 MHz DSD and hi-res files.
  10. Miyuji Kaneko - Chopin, Liszt and Debussy: Piano Pieces 2 (Esoteric)
  11. The Nutcracker - Akira Wakabayash (若林顕) Wakabayashi-san plays the classic Christmas fantasy on the 88 keys. This was recorded just a few months ago.
  12. Gary Karr Plays Bach This is one of a bunch of recent SACD reissues by King Records.
  13. If I ever become a heavy Kinsky user, I might do that, but in the meantime it's kinda weird that it trips up over lowly MP3 while playing everything else just fine. Otherwise, I really like Kinsky for all the usual reasons. It's nice (while using a Mac or PC) to play music without needing to reach for an iPad.
  14. Haha, indeed. In fact, the first thing that went through my mind was "Maybe this is a Linn thing..." I don't have many MP3's either. That's probably why I never noticed this before.
