With upgrades no longer being announced on the website, and dealers/distributors only advising direct customers, anyone who purchased a unit from an individual will have no reliable method to learn of firmware upgrades. Makes buying or selling a used MA-1 less than desirable.

I just received a reply from Shahin at Meitner concerning the latest firmware. The new policy is that only dealers/distributors are authorized to update firmware. If you purchased it from a dealer, it should/might be free. If not, well, it's 200 euro plus shipping in France. Two days to upgrade.
