Yeh slow here to at 56% and 2 hours 30 minutes so fare so this small update file looks like its going to take around 6 hours to download,previous firmware updates were the same,we are all probably connecting to mr Wang Nas lol

Well I have just had email from Mr W of Auralic in reply to email I sent him yesterday when I was having more problems with Aries email I sent was more or less a copy and paste of what I posted here although I did mention I was disappointed that I felt like a beta tester with the crap software Aries came with and it had been a while since we have had any software or firmware updates but I'm reading him posting regular about great new features he was enjoying and I asked if it was possible my Aries had a fault as I have not been able to stream with wifi for most time I had Aries as music skips all time but yet I can stream BluRay movies over wifi to my oppo with no problems,he replied saying he was withdrawing his support from me and my Aries and I could have a refund as he said I used bad language ie crap software,I did reply quoted he said reason Aries was so expensive was to cover continued software development for Aries but that's slowed down and 10 minutes later I get a Facebook alert as he posted about firmware 1.9 release soon I had told him I was going to post his reply to my email on line and let people decide for themselves if his withdrawal of support was justified,I am left with no option but to accept his offer of refund as he is not willing to consider I might have a fault in my Aries,I want to thank everyone here for help and support over these past months and will catch some of u no doubt on the next big thing to be released for our passion of music all the best steven.

Ok don't want to waste anyone time so just to let everyone know i have finally got my nas music to work,i had to delete software on Ipad and start again from scratch and everything is working again for moment although only wired as wifi on both 2.4 and 5g skips all through songs although i can stream BluRay over WiFi to oppo with no issue.

Has this thread dried up like software and firmware updates from Auralic,we have nothing to discuses anymore.

Hi all i need some help again i am having problems, i can play music from Qobus but not from my Synology nas,when i select an album i can see from Aries screen the tracks loading but Aries does not enter play in fact i have same problem when using USB out from Nad M51 but we know Aries and Nad usb have not worked from day one,had this problem last few days and have managed to get around problem once have tried resetting Aries and my neatgear D6300 router but makes no difference, same if wired or WiFi,anyone else having similar problems? to be honest its been one problem after another and i am loosing faith,i only have a couple of hours each day to listen to music as work long hours and im back using my Oppo to stream from nas as works first time and always has,thanks.

Thanks Barr yes i am relieved and only wish i had asked for help sooner,one of problems i reported when album loads to Aries but does not play i think i have figured it out now things are working properly,the albums in question are from Qobuz cataloge Mark Knopflers and they still don't play but i suspect it's to do with copy rights to stream here in uk and nothing to do with Aries as everything else plays fine,also noticed since updating to IOS8 my iPad sleeps even if LDS is open which is a feature some asked for in software update.

Hi i too have been running IOS8 since release and all functions seems to be working for me since i resolved my other problem with SSID been bonded,Wang Xuanqian you know the software better than anyone so i will look forwards to a software release for IOS8 and bare in mind there could be issues in meantime.

Hi Guys well i have spent a whole night listening to music with no problems, had a break for few hours and went back to Aries and worked first time,i can shut down LDS and have no problems starting again and playing music i couldn't do that before,i had been putting up with this since beginning waiting for a software fix,i don't have my SSID hidden they are visible on my network the problem was 2.4G and 5G were bonded on router by default when i gave each network its own SSID name as advised by Wang Xuanqian that seems to have resolved my problem,i am very very happy right now thanks so much to everyone for your help and support.

Ok separated SSID's as advised and will test and report back tomorrow i already use all other recommendations,Hi bplexico i am running IOS 8 also but my problem was there before updating,thanks for your help bplexico i have a good feeling this will work,it makes sense to me.

Hi Wang Xuanqian thanks for taking time to reply, i have done most of the steps u listed apart from using the default router settings which bonds 2.4G and 5G network SSID's i will separate them and see how that goes on Homehub 5 failing that i have same router from Netgear u have tested but with a built in modem the netgear D6300 is same as R6300 with built in modem which i won't be using since i have fiber connection now but need to buy fiber modem first

My router is 8 feet from Aries and ipad Air 6 feet from router so no problem there and everything is in same room my living room

Hi jimmypower yes i have tried all the steps a number of times with not much luck,bplexico yes as soon as you reported the fix i tried it but no luck,i can play music without to much problems all night but the moment Aries has been sitting doing nothing for a few hours or switched of at night the only way for LDS to find Aries is reboot my router, if i don't reboot my router sometimes LDS finds Aries then looses it again and can go on like this for half an hour,i believe it is a network issue but not sure whats causing it,i have another router which is the Netgear D6300 that i can try when i buy a fiber modem to see if that resolves the issue i have given everything on my network fixed ip addresses,what i have also noticed is LDS will find my music collection on nas but not display radio stations and while that part is missing Aries won't play music from nas the album is there but when selecting an album it flashes quickly but sends no music to Aries or it sends music file which shows up on Aries but will not enter play mode very frustrating i can use audio station to send files to oppo 103 and they play every time when Aries will not.

you are correct jtwrace it is a network issue but everything els works fine on my network,LDS can see my oppo 103 but not Aries i use bt homehub 5 the new one for fiber its connected to ac 5ghz i have no problems with anything els on my network laptop,ps4,oppo 103,ipad Air,HTC one sky box, all connected through wifi and having no problems connecting and using my network and my bt homehub is 8 feet from Aries,im very aware of my internet connection speed having nothing to do with connecting to Aries in fact i would hazard a guess that i know more about networks than most people, i work with networks and pc's for extra cash as well as my full time job,so i think its fare to say that the problem is a network issue but on Aries or LDS side and can,t passably be my home network since everything els works fine but looking back at previous posts and im not only one having problems with LDS finding Aries,are all our networks broken?
