No, I'm not. And the opinions of your devoted sycophants do not interest me. But let's get back to the topic: "What happened to this forum?!" I started posting in this thread today expressing my opinion that the quality of information in the forum has plummeted since The Purge (or, as you may like to call it, "the creation of the objectivists group to make the most subjective members of the forum more comfortable"). Expensive cables sell and this forum advertises expensive cables so I understand it was a business decision to squash any linkage between "Cable Belief" and delusion. And while the subjectivists are no doubt more comfortable now that they don't have to hear anything about delusion, the overall quality of information has decreased quite noticeably. I'm not so naive that I think you'll change your mind about The Purge. But you have to own that the forum just isn't as good anymore. Sure, the sycophants will rush to your defense, but comfort is not the same as content. I don't type these words to "be a dick" or otherwise troll you or the forum. But I think you resist any kind of critical feedback and how immediately hostile you got toward me today is all the proof you should need.

I'm here to watch you collect "Likes" as you continue to insult me. How about you?

Just as you used "step away from the bong" as a "figure of speech", I use "Audiophile Style forums seem to skew heavily toward the affluent, middle-aged white male demographic" as a "figure of speech". It's awkward and clumsy, but if it works for you...

To me, "post your gear" threads are an exercise in consumerist exhibitionism and narcissism. But if you enjoy them, great!

Oddly, the topic was cultural appropriation. In my experience, woke is a word that is only used by a certain class of people, and it's always used pejoratively. I never use the word myself.
