Mechz

Hey guys, new to computer audiophile, but I've been listening to hi-res music for a while. I've purchased almost all of my music from HDtracks, and have been thoroughly overjoyed with what I heard. The music is fantastic from there in my experience. I've seen Pono's kickstarter and home page, and the file formats they seem to be offering match exactly those you can find on HDtracks already, which offers even more than just FLACs. So I'm wondering, what is the difference going to be sonically? The source material, which from I understand are the masters from the labels and engineers, are still going to be sent in the way they've always been sent in, unless Neil Young is going to be at every mastering studio and recording session ensuring otherwise...
