  1. I purchased mine over a month ago based on R. Harley's comments (something I've never done) and have never looked back. Replacing a V-DAC II, the MyDac is in a different league all together in my system YMMV. Even with standard redbook, the soundstage is incredible with fantastic depth of field and timbre extension. Even after hours of listening, I experience very little fatigue, which is something I've never encountered before with digital. I am truly rediscovering my CD collection all over again. It doesn't sound soft, like tube saturation, i would say it is quite balanced spectrally. So much so it has me rethinking my entire analog chain. BTW, I haven't played an LP in weeks, and when I do, all I hear now is how small it sounds compared to a good digital recording thru the MyDac, regardless of sample/bitrate. The MyDac simply sounds more fleshed out, more "there" Its only slight weakness would be in the extreme low end where I felt the V-DAC II (with the Pangea power supply) had a more "iron-grip" fist if you will. Don't get me wrong, the MyDac has good low end and if you've never compared it to something else, you'd never miss it. Highly recommended IMHO.
