Jesus, regarding the Spotify connect function, is it possible when beeing in Roon mode to use the spotify connect function ? So will Spotify Connect overrule the existing mode, or do I have to go into the menu and manually swich between Roon and Spotify. It not, is it possible in a future upgrade to let the connect function overrule the default function?( and, after using connect, go back in the default function)

Alex,congrats with the succes of the Ultracap! I just found out my 9V IFI power supply has an 1.5A output, not the advertised 2.0A. Will this work to power the Ultracap, of do I need to order the Meanwell ( I am in the first batch, but did not order the Meanwell)

Alex, currently I use the ifi 9v 1,5a power supply to power my microrendu. You specify 9v 2a to run the mistery power supply. Does that mean this current standard power supply for the microrendu can not be used ?

Most of what you interprent is correct; but one is not: you can ( after activating a server on your Nas like Twonky / Minim or so and assunimg your music is on the Nas) use the Nas als your so called ethernet source - and use a application like Kinsky, Audionet AMM, Bubble UPNP to manage the music

If the SE is $299 , with $100-150 of software on it + power supply - my guess would be somewhere around $450-$550 excluding power supply

Maybe a very strange question, but has quality of the input UTP signal effect on the output ( sound quality) of the Microrendu? And if so; what can be done to optimize quality? I am asking this to help me to decide between the option of an optimized all in one server-renderersystem ( the Vortexbox audiophile microjukebox or Antipodes DS for example) versus my current Nuc / Nas via UTP into the Microrendu? I will be running Roon.

You are right, there is a log. But it only tells what i already knew " Minim server start error" What i really ment was: there is no informative log, which tell's you what doesn't work or what causes Minim not to work. But back to my first question, does anyone with DSM5 has Minimserver working? And what special ( if any) did you have to do for that?

Can anyone conform that Minimserver works with DSM 5? I had no problems at all wit DSM 4; but on both my Synologies I get the fault ( with Minimserver 0.8.1) " Couldn't start package, Minim server start error, please refer to system log" And, in DSM5, there is no system log to be found
