  1. Listening to both Betlheem and Hi-Res version, Superdad is quite on target, something is missing, especially when the distortion noise does not bather you... Removing it definitely killed the piano completely, on Little Girl Blue which is the fourth tracks, the piano has no hi frequencies at all... just too bad, on the other hand the voice is not loosing his personality and is slightly warmer. The first song Mood Indigo is better with a wider dynamic range. And I agree with fredhammersmith, it is worth a try. And comparing both is a pleasure in itself... Isn't it? I'd love to have a vinyl rip of this album by the way. About the stereo panning of the HI-RES, I think they tried to combine mono and stereo. Personally I prefer the stereo image of the HI-RES then the Bethleem one, and even if it respects the 1960 way of splitting channels... not worrying about sound stage. In this matter, I prefer the soundstage that we do today then the "left - right" sound distribution of the late 50s early 60s.
