  1. Hi Mr Wicked I have a ps3 bluray drive as shown in the photo. Am I able to get a kit so as I can use this drive I already have? I have already signed up in the hope that I can. Thanks Simon
  2. Hi Mr Wicked Is it possible for you to provide everything except the ps3 bluray drive? I have a refurbed single eye ps3 bluray drive from my old fat ps3 that I could use. Regards Simon Australia
  3. Thanks Iago I have got it to work now. It was as you have said. I had to point it to my nas music directory. There was an issue with my windows 8 tablet not seeing my NAS on the network even though I could get to the nas by typing in it's address into explorer. After much mucking around, a simple reboot of the modem fixed that issue. Now I have all album art showing in cantata and my rating of cantata has since gone from an 8 to a 10.
  4. What do you mean by enabling the web server on the beaglebone to point to the root of my music library. I thought I have already done this when modifying the fstab file? I can play music from my nas so the beagllebone is already pointing to my library. Is there some other setting that needs to be changed? What android client are you using?
  5. Hi All. I am currently using cantata as my Mpd client on a windows 8 tablet. I am having trouble getting all my album art to show. All my music files have embedded art but cantata seems to download covers from the net. I can right click and search for album covers but when I hit ok, the image is not copied over to the beaglebone black I am using. It is as if the beaglebone is stoping data from being received. Has anyone had these experiences before as well and knows of a fix?? Thanks Simon
  6. Hi John With the community squeeze project, do you need a squeezebox to get everything to work? Or can I use my nas music storage and the wandboard instead of a beaglebone? am asking as I have just borrowed the beaglebone I am using. If I can upscale without a hitch using a wandboard and my Music NAS without an actual squeezebox, then that may be the way for me to go. Regards Simon
  7. In the article on how to set the beaglebone up there is the entry into the mpd.conf file mixer_type "hardware" Doesn't this mean it is using hardware and not software scheduling? Regards Simon
  8. I just checked. It plays native 192k files without a problem.
  9. It would be resampling the 16/44k file to 192k when this happens. I haven't tested using a native 192k file yet. I was hoping the beaglebone would be powerfull enough to resample without pauses in the music. Will try a native high res file tommorow. Regards Simon
  10. I just figured out the problem. It was the hw:1,0 line that was in the guide. I changed mine to hw:1,1 and now it works. At 44100 kHz 16bit setting all is fine. At 196khz it has cracks and pops though. I wonder if this is normal.
  11. Hi all I've just followed the v helpfull guide step by step. I got my nas connected to mpd and the song list transferred. I can even play songs using ncmpc. The problem is I have no audio output. I have done the alsa settings as in the guide. I think I may have a problem with the beaglebone not being able to talk to my cm6631A usb to coax card which is in my dac. I have read somewhere that others have said these chips don't like alsa output but I wouldn't have a clue as to what changes need to be made to any config files. Anyhelp would be much appreciated. Regards Simon

Another note: If I reboot the beaglebbb with the dac connected, I can see files "playing" using ncmpc (can not hear though). However if I turn off the dac and turn it on again , when trying to play music "it now goes and pauses the music straight away". Anyhelp would be much appreciated. Regards Simon
