I'm so disappointed. After all the talk about how good sounding Amarra is and the new release, I downloaded and paid for Amarra Hifi. It doesn't work as advertised. How can one "enjoy the music" if each song is preceded by bits of the song. It plays a snippet, stops, starts over.... it's very frustrating.
I have a 2011 Mac Mini, with 8Gb of memory, running a fresh install of OS Maverics (the latest version), iTunes 11.1.4, and Amarra HiFi (downloaded yesterday). The music files are stored on a DroboFS, all in AIFF format.
The Mac Mini is not running any other software. It's basically dedicated to playing music. Amarra is running in iTunes mode. iTunes by itself plays music properly. I haven't had the chance to try Amarra by itself as yet.
I'm new to this list and I'm hoping someone can suggest a strategy for solving my problem. I haven't contacted the Amarra support folks as yet, but am planning to do so.
