  1. I use a Chrome browser on the Mac. I'm an old PC user and lots of info is attached to my Chrome browser. I did use Safari to Sonicorbiter once and it is the same. The word server comes along with the mystery login. It refers to urendu05300000 as a server. Also, if you use UHCP with IP to link to urendu on the Mac a warning message pops up warning that an unknown computer or server is attached to your network. The problem I have is I checked the guest box in Bitdefender and now urendu always is loaded as read only. Bitdefender also has a Mac version.
  2. Sharepoint may be Microsoft, but if you look at Sonicorbiter's manage page you see a message that Microsoft requires the name to be 15 digits. That is why the name is so long: urendu05300000. Microsoft must have brought Sharepoint over to the Mac along with the urendu server name. That also may explain the mystery sign-in window that has my name on it and calls it a server. The password is still unknown. My problem on the Mac is on one line: ReadOnly______________Sharepoint. I'm waiting on more info from a Bitdefender forum. Thanks again for helping. If this doesn't work I'm either going to set up a NAS seerver/streamer maybe using JRiver etc or get a good streaming hardware unit.
  3. Thank you for helping. Yes, MPD is active. I have used my set-up - Audirvana, Ultra Rendu, Matrix-X to PSAudio DAC via i2s on a PC for over a year. Then, I allowed windows 11 to install. Ultra Rendu was blocked. I also have a Mac mini M1 with Monterey firmware. At first instalation Audirvana played and then it stopped. I tried to enter urendu into Bitdefender's Exceptions window. I know now that I could have done this by choosing DHCP with IP address and all would have been fine, but since I didn't know this at first, I checked a box in Bitdefender called guest. Now, urendu only loads as read only, which is unusable. If any Mac/Bitdefender users know how to elimininate this read only state in Sharepoint, please let me know. I also posted in Bitdefender's forum.
  4. I followed the Soniorbiter manage button and set for PSAudio DSDAC and rebooted to start using Audirvana on a M1 Mac mini. If I try to add urendu as an exception in Bitdefender urendu will only open as read only in sharepoint. If anyone knows how to delete sharepoint and read only, I may have a chance to get this working. Audirvana can not use read only. The other mystery is the log-in asking for registered users password. No clue?
  5. I've added to the drawing. Should I route the Mac mini 5&6, the type A usb to the 205 and the LG or should one go to the DS218? I don't think I can route the usb4 anywhere. All suggestions appreciated.
  6. I stream Tidal with Audirvana through Ultra Rendu and Matrix to PSAudio DAC via i2s. I would like to insert a M1 Mac Mini into my system. I would appreciate suggestions for creative ways to use the Mac. If you can help, from the image, use the first letter of the component plus the number. For example, M4 would start a cable from the Mac HDMI to L4, the LG HDMI 3. I'm sorry if this is too cumbersome. I'm open suggestions. I assume all the Ethernet cables will go to the unmanaged switch. I'm not sure about the usb connections. I tried to create a drawing with nodes that would allow cables to be moved but I couldn't make it work.
  7. I know this has already been discussed but I'm going to try a different approach. I have a M1 MacMini I want to include in my audio/video system which includes: Oppo UDP-205, Audirvana and Tidal through Ultra Rendu and Matrix X-SPDIF usb to PSAudio DAC via i2s. JRiver MC 27 Master License. Synology S218 NAS and Synology RT2600ac router. LG Smart TV with Apple TV. Smart TV optical to Oppo 205. I use Y connectors from PS Audio DAC and the Oppo DAC FL and FR through passive switch boxes so I can switch between stereo music from PSAudio or front L&R from Oppo through the same Musical Fidelity amp for the Magnepan 3.1 front speakers. Other amps feed the rest of the Magnepan surround speakers. I assume I would connect the HDMI of the Mac to the smart TV and the network cable to the router. I'm a beginner with JRiver. I welcome suggestions of how to get the most out of the MacMini.
  8. I want to thank everyone on this forum. I've been reading this one plus several others in my quest to improve the sound of my PSAudio DS DAC with Bridge II. Many others have abandoned Bridge II and I've been following their lead. I've accumulated UltraRendu with Sbooster, x Matrix 2 with Sbooster, Synology NAS and Synology Router, JRiver MC 26, Dirac Live, and two days ago I added HQ Player 4.5.1. The problem I have now is that I'm in SoCal doing Grandpa duty until mid July. The only thing I have with me now is a Win 10 laptop with JRiver, HQ Player, Dirac Live and Samplitude Pro X 5 Suite. I would like to learn the fine points of using this software as much as I can without being connected to my hardware. Of course I can always learn by reading post and that is maybe all I can do for now. Any suggestions appreciated. One interesting development with Dirac Live is that it has not only entered JRiver but it is becoming a VST plugin for many recording software programs. My Samplitude is not yet on the list.
  9. I use the A700 with the PSAudio DSD as a pre. I've compared it to a lot of very good amps and it handles my big maggies effortlessly. The class A gain cell design works very well.
  10. Paul of PSAudio says the M700's are about 90% as good as the 250's but the 250's are more than twice the price. The M700's are just fine for my ears. They are in total control of my big Maggies.
  11. PSAudio is flexible on their pricing structure. If you buy from them directly you can always trade up to a newer model and get full credit for what you paid on the old one. Or, you can buy the pair of $3000 PS Audio M700 mono blocks for $1900 like I did from HighPerformanceStereo.com. When I crank these amps up, my Magnepan 3.6's sound amazing. For the price, I don't think you can do better than the M700's. I'm sure the PS Audio S300 can be had for a similar discount.
  12. I have two M700's fed by Direct Stream DAC w/Bridge II. My Magnepan 3.6's gloriously produce effortless music.
  13. It may be a similar problem I had. My old Charter Modem was flawed and I got a new one. My download speed increased but my router had to be reconfigured before the improvement got to my equipment.
  14. Yes. I tried all the cheap routes to get Tidal to work - BubbleUpnp with JRiver dlna from laptop to oppo 205 via usb. This would work sometimes but with stops and pauses and limited unfolding. I looked at sub $500 hardware for MQA folding but these had limitations and sub par DAC's. I finally took the plunge and got PSA DirectStream DAC w/Bridge II. Bridge II has MConnect Control built into the firmware. PSA is developing Bridge III which will have their own proprietary MQA processing as well as a music server. MConnect Control is stable with no glitches but it is not pretty and few enjoy using it. PSA will not allow any MQA processing to be done inside the pristine DirectStream DAC. Bridge is an insert card that slides into the DirectStream box and contains MQA processing.
  15. Tidal is flawless through my PSA Bridge II. I use Cat 6a cable from a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router.
