We chatted on Facebook briefly last night, but at that time I was expressing relief that it wasn't happening to the iMac (I returned a MacMini because of the problem and got the iMac instead) ... but I've heard of problems with a lot of different DACs, so I'm leaning toward it not being a Cosecant problem in particular ...

Thanks for the reply. I've used a couple of them, it persisted. Now - here's the strange part - I'm listening right now and haven't had a problem for almost 15 minutes (so far) - so this is somehow a kind of periodic thing. Very weird.

Hi all, I need some guidance. I just bought a new iMac this past weekend, set it up with my old Cosecant from Wavelength Audio (one of the very first, original ones), and it drops out, or gets hashy and then drops out after 30 seconds to 1 minute of music. This never happened with my old iMac, even running Mavericks, and it actually didn't happen at all last night when i set up the DAC for the first time. But today - nonstop dropping out. Very disappointing. Any help would be appreciated!
