So I ran an AWG 10 stranded copper from the ground terminal on the EtherRegen to a ground terminal in the power strip, and was rewarded with a rhythmic popping noise on a separate audio system in the same closet (Audioquest Dragonfly on an Intel NUC feeding various wall speakers). Puzzling.

Saw a suggestion that grounding the EtherRegen might help sound quality. Just wondering to what it should be grounded.

View Classified exaSound e32 Mark II DAC I bought this new in February 2020 and have since replaced it with a dCS Bartók streaming DAC which cost about seven times as much and sounds a bit better. But this is a very fine DAC at any price. It is Roon-ready, does DSD and MQA, and is in like-new condition with all the original packaging and accessories, including the Apple remote. The manufacturer is in Canada and doesn't (to my knowledge) advertise in any of the usual magazines or sell through dealers, which I think allows him to produce a high-quality product at a very reasonable price. Rogue Audio Ares phono preamp with Magnum upgrades and NOS RCA tubes I purchased this preamp new from Stereo Unlimited in San Diego and sent it back to Rogue for the Magnum upgrade in 2018 or so. The NOS tubes (recommended by Andy at Vintage Tube Services) made such an improvement in sound quality that my non-audiophile wife immediately noticed the difference. Both the manufacturer-supplied J&J and the NOS RCA tubes have about 500 hours of use and should be good for years to come. The unit is suitable for moving-magnet or moving coil cartridges, and offers a substantial range of settings from an easily-accessible hatch on the top. The outboard power supply and custom cables keep noise away from the system. Shipping costs will depend on where it's sent, but it will travel in the original packaging and be quite safe. Wow, looks like you have exactly what I need. Have to give this serious consideration, and also think about how I'd find room for this box and the EtherRegen (currently in a closet outside my listening room) in my audio rack. I recently got a dCS Bartók DAC, which I'm enjoying a great deal. The company also makes an external clock (the Rossini) which, at US$ 8,500 is no small investment and I've been tempted by it, although I really don't understand the function of a clock in a digital music system. I came across this thread from a post on the Tidal forum and it make me wonder: would the Afterdark Master Clock serve the same function as the dCS Rossini master clock?

It is in perfect working condition and was in use in my system as recently as yesterday, as you can see from the photos. It allows you to change platter speeds without removing the platter and changing the belt; the red Rega image indicates 33.3 RPM and the green 45 RPM. I replaced the stock rubber feet with Sorbothane footers. The original turntable cable and owner's manual are included. Included in the offer is a Swagman Labs power supply designed for the TT-PSU.
