  1. Hello everyone, I have a 8 year old iMac (10.6.8), iX-2 (2 yrs. old), Naim UnitiServe and Naim NDS server (both 2 years old). Issue: I cannot get the iX-2 to "show-up" when I open my mac HD icon. For about 18 months this was not an issue. Everytime i opened my HD window it was there with my UnitiServe. Then in the last couple of months the iX-2 icon disappeared but the Naim US was still there. The only way I can access my music on the iX-2 is to unplug/restart then it comes up. After a couple of hours of non use the iX-2 disappears from the mac. I have downloaded a new iX-2 device manager from the iOmega site. No help. The way I have this configured is the mac, both Naim components and the iX-2 each separately run to the router. I also have a PC laptop that sometimes can see the iX-2 icon and other times not. The laptop also shares the same router. Please note, I am not computer savvy. Any advice would be appreciated. Tim
  2. The $22K (USD) package includes: the NDS, UnitiServ, 555 Power Supply and cables.
  3. I read the review in TAS about the Naim NDS. I am a Naim fan. Streaming aside, it seems like the audiophile quality of this setup resides in the Naim DAC. Can anyone comment on whether the Naim DAC is of reference quality? Currently, I use a Berkeley Alpha DAC 2. Finding it hard to comprehend the $22K price for the Naim system described in TAS. For $14K the new reference Berkeley will be available. Thoughts?
