I'm far from an expert in computer audio, but am trying to figure out how to try Dirac software in my set-up. I use a Logitech Squeezebox Touch to stream audio files from my iTunes folder on a remotely located iMac to a Nuforce DDA-100 digital amplifier via a coaxial cable. The amp powers a pair of GoldenEar Audio Triton 2's.
If I understand Dirac correctly, I would have to move my iTunes library to a laptop that can run the Dirac software and then output digitally to my amp. I can't see anyway to run the software on the remote computer before streaming, though that would be easiest for me.
