  1. Antonello, After registering a trial i could select my USB Dac... Now i need a player to see my music... Regards Bernard
  2. Hello Antonello, The latest software is OK since i could boot on the RPi400 with an attached 7" display... But holy sh... i cannot set my USB DAC (Yamaha CDS2100 CD Player) This great Sabre DAC was OK to work either with Volumio or RopieXL... Let me know how to have it working also on Gentooplayer... Regards Bernard
  3. So i went to the website this morning looking for a new version but could still get the same named as previous... built last friday 16th april... Is that the "good archive"?
  4. So Antonello my issue was a shitty download!
  5. OK Thank you! You said "it should receive an IP from my router via DHCP" But the issue was: NO IP receives?
  6. I have a concern: When i received the RPi4 brand new i directly installed Volumio on it and it worked well... Then on another SDCard i tried Ropie and also it worked like a charm... But GentoPlayer is 64bits? But the OS installed on the RPi4 is 32 bits? So before trying again GentopLayer may i have first to install a 64 bits Debian OS? Today i received a secund RP4 the model fitted inside a keyboard RPI400... I'm waiting for the delivery of the 7" display so when installing Gentoplayer i may see what relly occurs... Regards Bernard
  7. The file was GentoPlayerRpi4-64-5.10.img.xz
  8. Hi Antonello, I will do a last try with a new microSD Card... Why didn't had any network issue either with Volumio or RopieXL?
  9. Si probably the downloaded archive is a huge piece of canari crap!
  10. DomieMic65 said: Gentooplayer is far more flexible and gives you so many ways to configure your setup. I think it's worth giving it a chance Sorry but i fight a whole day to have it working... Antonello took control of my system with Timeviewer and he couldn't fix the mess... You are welcome to provide the accurate help i need since Fing doesn't see any Gentooplayer on my network... Are you sure the archive i flashed was OK? regards Bernard
  11. Using Fing to check deeply inside my network i cannot see any item like my Raspberry PI4? So the sh... hits the fan... I will then switch back to RopieXL instead because obviously Things are not working as expected with the archive installed in the MicroSD... I may have to perform prior a full Ubuntu since moving from RopieXL to GentooPlayer = big mess! Thank you everybody who kindly tried to help me
  12. So i tried to erase the microSD Card and reflashed GentoPlayerRpi4-64-5.10.img.xz But Holy sh... I'm still unable to get 192.168.42.1:5000 in my browser... What else now?
  13. Domiemic65 said you must only put xxx.xxx.x.x..x:5000 to your browser of course we tried with Antonello while taking Timeviewer control on my PC... I may have a network issue or my micro SD Card had an issue wth Etcher flashing it on the PC...?
  14. Hi Antonello, What a pleasure to have you so quiskly answering! I saw in the how to install that the web interface works only on PC or Tablet!? so typing ssh root@ip-Gentooplayer on my Mac laptop will never give me ssh [email protected]??? Yesterday when trying to do that The Mac was not linked by Ethernet cable to the network... I also tried on the PC linked by cable to the network using Putty with no success also...?
  15. YES i used IP-GentooPlayer:5000...? and never could get anything...? So i checked also what's inside the microSD card: 2 partitions: No name with 369,1 MO Untitled with 15,21 GO I tried using either a MacBookPro 15" laptop or a Toshiba Z30 with Windows10 The Mac machine was wifi connected to the network while the Toshiba attached with an ethernet cable to an ethernet switch connected to my BOX... Let me know what was wrong? OK i had not yet asked for a License, because i want to test for free before...
