  1. And you are correct; the vinyl version has a DR of 10 DR Database
  2. I recently acquired Audio-GD Reference 5.32 DAC, which cost me less than 1k USD shipped. Although it is no longer available, you may look at the alternative models they carry. I can't say if it would meet your taste, but I am quite happy with the DAC, it is better sounding and smoother without loss of details, compared to Pioneer Elite DVD, and less harsh than Naim Supernait DAC.

  6. Received an email from Acoustic Sounds, see below. A shame, I probably wouldn't have bought it if knowing so... Oh well... I'll still try to post a spectrum analysis when I get a chance though, probably this week-end. > From: [email protected] > To: > Subject: Important information regarding a purchase from SuperHiRez.com > > Dear Acoustic Sounds Super HiRez Customer: > > We're writing to inform you of a discrepancy we've discovered regarding > the Lorde/Pure Heroine file you purchased and downloaded from Acoustic > Sounds Super HiRez. 7. I have purchased the FLAC 96/24 of Michael Jackson - Thriller from Acoustic Sounds and I am very disapointed... DR 7... I should have paid the extra for DSD version... or just get the physical CD for cheaper! I have uploaded my DR findings here: DR Database
  8. I have purchased the FLAC 192/24 version of Lorde - Pure Heroine from Acoustic Sounds... DR of 7, very bad... :-( I have uploaded the log to DR database: DR Database
