  1. Remote Desktop is a free download and easy to install on the client side (tablet). Try it, maybe it works with W8 even if it is not the Pro version
  2. If you want to control foobar runing on a PC with a W8.1 tablet, the simplest way is to use the Remote Desktop on the tablet. It will give you a complete control on all the softwares on the PC (thin clent to server).
  3. I have only the Classic model of the Squeezbox. It is older than the Touch and the digital output is only coaxial. The soud quality was of course improved with the PUC 2. It is a very good DAC. The Squeezebox is greatly improved with an external DAC, the better the dac, the better the resulting sound quality. But i also played files from a PC with Foobar to the PUC2 via USB with an equivalent result.
  4. I do not know about the reclocking but i had a PUC2 on loan and it was playing 16/44.1 files (wav or flac) from my squeezebox. The Yellowtec PUC has only AES and USB digital outputs but AES/RCA adapters can be found easely to connect the cd transport.
  5. Gery : Thanks for the detailed graphic and the links provided. I suppose you get the PUC as an improvement over the internal DAC of the Burson conductor ? Kelly : Did you find a better sound quality using a third party USB cable in place of the original Yellowtec cable ? Some months ago I had on loan a PUC2 (not Lite) that i used as a USB to AES converter with very good results. I listened to it also as a complete DAC on its analogue outputs that were equally impressive. As an USB interface I found it preferable to the Wyred4Sound uLink or the Sotm DX-USB.
  6. I am using an Audio Authority 1177A with 4 inputs. The inputs and the output are either coaxial SPDIF or optical Toslink. Audio Authority® - Product Details: 1177A
  7. Thank you germay for your answer. From the description of your installation, i think the Teradak LPS you are using is the Teralink U9VA. Can you confirm that is right ? How do you connect the split USB cable : Power connector on the LPS, data connector on the PC ? The Light Harmonic Lightspeed Split USB cable is very costly, more than twice the price of the PUC Lite in Europ. Do you try, or do you know, some other split USB cable that can be used in place ?
  8. At least 2 people were using the Yellowtec PUC on this forum : Kelly from North Carolina or germay0653 from Tampa Bay, please can you help me.
  9. Is it possible tu use the iFi iUSB power unit with the PUC 2 or PUC Lite models ? The PUC 2 has a special USB cable with two A connectors on the PC side and one B connector on the PUC 2. I presume that the same cable is used with the PUC Lite. Any experience with the PUC and a top grade USB cable ? How did you connect it ?
