I have been told that I can get a thunderbolt to ethernet adapter to add an extra ethernet port to the Mac Mini to attach the MicroRendu and run the MicroRendu directly from the Mac Mini. Has anyone tried that? I have a Mojo Audio power supply attached to hard drive and Mac Mini right now.

Thanks for the link. Not looking like an ideal solution right now. Looks like if I add the MicroRendu. I would need a power supply for the MicroRendu and a switch with a power supply. Might be better off investing in an all in one server then.

I am very interested in adding the microRendu into my system. I have a modified Mac Mini with a liner power supply. My hard drive is attached to my Mac Mini by firewire and is also running on liner power supply. I have a DSD only DAC so everything is being up sampled in ROON. My question is: Is there anyway to attach the microRendu directly to my Mac Mini? I am trying to avoid buying a switch that will also need a liner power supply. I also don't want to add more electronics into the chain if possible. Whats the most cost effective best way to set up? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hey Jabs1542 - I used the following settings but since I am on a MAC I needed to select core audio in backend and then click on DoP. Its the only way I can get it to work with the MAC.

Thanks for the info. It really is amazing the player just wish it could play mp3. Still have so many files in mp3 and I play mostly playlists mixed with everything from DSD to really small files downloaded from the internet in the 90s of bootleg shows. Maybe this will be something HQplayer adds in the future.

I recently bought a Lampi DSD as well. HQplayer sounds the best on my system and I have followed the settings you mentioned above except I am running off a Mac so I use DOP. However, I can't get MP3 files to go into the library. All other files play. Any advice. Thanks
