  1. Again - great idea. I'm not at all interested in sharing view points with you anyway. Carry on with your worship, Jethro.
  2. Yeah, seriously. Unlike many of you, I have to actually work for a living and I don't have the luxury of kicking back for hours on end testing a new piece of software. If I download a trial version today there's no telling if I'm going to have the time in a two week period to find out what it can/cannot do. So yes, I tried it out for a slightly extended period and when I was somewhat satisfied with it's performance I purchased it - standard op for me and I don't care in the least who disagrees with it. And when I stated I was satisfied with it's performance it means when it works it sounds great. Then there are times when having to quit the app and restart or even worse - do a reinstall, when I wish I had held off on that purchase. It's difficult to listen to music in a somewhat relaxed state of mind when you've spent the last half hour getting the software to work properly. For those who have no problems… good for you. It's very obvious though, looking through these posts that A+ is nowhere near perfect. And as far as my extended trial… I may need to make an adjustment, given the circumstances of late.
  3. About as much as any of you have.
  4. That's funny. Somehow, I don't seem worried, do I? I love the way you people like to take a stab at everything but the point. Oh, the name. Well, I had to think up something, yeah, Jethro? I did say "one last time, didn't I? But after all the b.s. I've been reading… can you really blame me for throwing some back at you? After all, it's not like I'm making any real promises, right? I'll tell you what… maybe I'll stop posting as a christmas present for you. You'll forgive me if that doesn't happen though, right? I won't even charge you extra for that.
  5. Yeah, that might be a pretty good story. But proof… ya know? That's a hard thing to come by. There are just so many ways… I would say it would be a complete stab in the dark, and most intelligent people would realize what a waste the resources would be and such, especially to come up empty handed. People talk a lot of crap on the internet, and proving what someone says. Yeah. Good luck. As a matter of fact, give it your best, Jethro. And on the other hand, isn't that stealing bit getting old when you insist it's a one way street?
  6. That's a great idea. I'm not interested at all in your opinion. I'll bet there are a lot of us common folk who read these forums though who might think I have a point...
  7. So what you're saying is I should have held off for another 6 or 7 months… tip after 8/1/2014. Now why didn't I think of that? Some of you should brush up on reading skills. It would be much easier to reconcile the extra cost if we were all paying the same price. THE MAIN POINT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE MISSED IT IS NEW CUSTOMERS PAYING LESS FOR 2.0 THAN THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED A COPY. I thought maybe all capitals would make that easier to read. IMO, this is a useful point. Maybe some of us need to practice our communication skills a bit. Maybe others should follow through with the public statements they make. Most importantly, maybe some of us shouldn't support those who make promises they don't keep or statements they cannot/will not follow through with as well as making blatantly ridiculous moves, like cutting new customers a break in the price while requiring pre-existing customers to ultimately pay more. Btw, I love your comment about the $39 restaurant meal. I could actually get a pretty decent meal for $39. I guess that'll shed some light on this debate, huh? Oh yeah…
  8. Oh. Yeah. Because it was so very difficult to obtain the version I had. It'll probably be equally as difficult to obtain 2.0 I would imagine. Yeah, that's why I went ahead and paid for a legit copy. Cuz I just knew it was going to be next to impossible to get otherwise...
  9. I don't need to prove anything. For anyone interested, comments Damien has made within the past year are well known, including the christmas present statement of 2013. Yeah, ok, so that was forgivable. Given the scope of the project anyone could make that mistake. He also promised early 2014. Then he dropped of the face of the planet. No more interaction on this or even his own forum. Remember when I said it was forgivable that he didn't follow through with his statement? Forgivable does not mean unaccountable. When he replied to someone asking about the cost of upgrades (probably on his forum but I don't remember) stating that they were free, I hold him accountable for that. Btw, upgrades, updates… I guess you can draw that line wherever it's convenient for you, yeah? The whole point is nothing has been very clear and communication has severely sucked. I bought A+ because of statements Damian has made and is now not following through on. If these things are all completely acceptable and chalked up to business as usual, no wonder this world is completely screwed.
  10. So criticizing another's actions here on this forum is what you would call trashing? That is so very interesting. And very telling as well. I also like the way you perpetuate the argument with nothing but childish remarks and still cannot state a good reason against the points I have made. Also very interesting. And you're the one calling b.s. on me? Btw, I didn't say he made those remarks on this forum. I believe someone has already backed me up on what I have stated. And again, I'm not really worried about what the devotees here think… there are many out there that do have common sense. I'll wait with excitement for the childish remarks while stepping around the points I have made.
  11. Wow. I guess it's a very good thing for me that I don't care much whether YOU take me seriously or not. The point is there are many who will read this that will. Just so we have the record straight, you're saying that: 1. It's ok to make statements and promises and not follow through with them. 2. It's ok for loyalty to be a one way street. Meaning, no matter what Damien says or does I should give him my constant praise and devotion and it's ok if he sticks it to the people who have purchased before Aug 1st of 2014 and rewards (promotes) the new version to new customers at an overall lower price. No, that doesn't look like greed at all to me. 3. Money is really no object. In fact, just by looking at a lot of equipment set ups here I'd say that you're probably ok with paying whatever price is asked. Damn, I knew I should have stayed in pre-law, or at least pre-med. If I got any of that wrong you'll have to excuse me. I haven't had the benefit of higher education. However, I can read the writing on the wall.
  12. Here's how I see it, and I don't much care if you do or not, but I'm sure quite a few will. I paid for Audirvana + based on what I had read from Damien. I didn't have to purchase it, but I did because it was the right thing to do after I was free to kick it's tires a little more at my leisure (maybe 2 1/2 months total). What's more, I was happy to contribute. I am not happy about getting screwed out of more now, after doing "the right thing." So, that being said, if you slap my face, be prepared for me to smack back. That is all.
  13. Oh, make no mistake. I won't be buying it.
  14. I guess some of you have great difficulty in understanding english, so I will try to go slower for you. I had no problem paying my $74 some 6 0r 7 months ago because after trying it out for a few months and seeing what what used to be an incredible support for customers from Damien coupled with the promised soon to be released version 2.0 as well as his statement that upgrades were free, it only seemed logical to support him and his efforts while saving some money and buying before he increased the price again. Before someone misreads that, no, I have no problem with price increases over time, just thought I'd be smart while doing the right thing and save a little money. A few months later I read that there will be an additional fee, even for pre-existing customers. I wasn't thrilled about that but managed to eventually justify in my mind a reason to go ahead and cough up a few extra bucks. Now I see that the news is even worse than I thought - New customers will pay the same $74 that I paid back in Feb., where as I (as well as anyone who has purchased before 8/1/2014 will have to pay an additional $39. Can someone explain why old customers are penalized while the ones who have waited will be getting a better deal?
  15. Again, I purchased my copy with intent to save money on the version I've really been waiting for, 2.0. I'm still waiting for someone to explain the logic in new customers paying the same price and existing customers getting nailed for an extra $39...
