    Music is life!
  1. It is only a DAC. Very efficient. Only 30 watt power consumption. Don't worry about heat at all.
  2. Nice little thought, there. Interesting point and make sense. Who knows!
  3. So do you think this could be due to the Analog output stage of the DAC? I mean the missing warmth?
  4. I knew you will say that. I got your joke but just couldn't help myself to post that because a friend of mine also asked me the same question when I said that I will wait for an used unit which should be available very soon. Hahaha [emoji4]
  5. For some reason or other people do sell their gears. Not always because it is sounding bad
  6. I am particularly not going by hypes. It is more for Mike Moffat and also for the USB 3 implementation. I only need USB and it should be really good and at the moment they seems to be ahead of competition in this department.
  7. These are not working that's what I was saying .. Giving some error on systemctl itself. [emoji20] Exact error I can tell you after I reach home and try the command.
  8. I am at my wit's end. I don't know if only 128 MB RAM creating any problem for Samba to start .. But it seems everything is okay until installation of Samba. After that I can't find any help to go further. Samba is not initialising.
  9. Thanks for the thread. Although I don't have anything to contribute on this topic but Yaggdrasil is on my radar for long and I am only getting positive on buy it.
  10. Hi iago, Thanks for your reply. Hope you are doing fine. Installed Samba but that is it. Couldn't able to proceed from there anymore. I am tired of trying everything available on Internet There is /media but inside the directory, there is no file/folder according to ALARM. But there is hell lot of files and directories inside the pendrive. Getting error even when creating user for samba.
  11. Hi All, Linux noobs here but windows geek. So, guess can follow instruction to do the job. Got an used Pogoplug B01 from a friend. Want to convert it to a file server for music files - 1. Installed Arch Linux on it (courtesy: Pogoplug v3/Oxnas (EOL) | Arch Linux ARM) 2. Want to share all files and folders. How to do that? 3. Want to tweak it in such a way that if I add/remove/change pendrives/extHDD, it should automatically share the contents. Is that Possible? If yes, how to do it? I can completely rebuild it from scratch if instruction is provided. Please help me doing this. Thanks in advance. - Koushik.
  12. I am interested if you can ship it to Dayton, OH. I will pay the shipping ofcourse at actual. Thanks!
  13. Hi, I am facing an issue. I am using MPDroid on my Android mobile to control the MPD. Whenever I "Add and Play" a file I get a click/pop sound from DAC. This doesn't occur when the MPD is playing a playlist but if I manually change(fwd/ffwd/rewd)/Pause-Play/Stop any track there is the sound from my speaker. My chain is - Windows 7 shared machine on network, Beaglebone Black --> XMOS based USB-to-SPDIF converter --> DAC Any idea how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance. -Koushik.
  14. Hi iago, As always thank you for your detailed reply. Ya that is really a cool feature. I will ask you about configuring the power button to shutdown properly if I couldn't configure it myself. Let me wait for the board to arrive. Regards, Koushik.
