OK… Seems CD input is working AUX input has bad contact in one of the plug I don't understand as i tried before all the possibilities… Feel so stupid tonight... Anyway, i'll try like this, plugging airport express on CD input and check if it's working for a long time btw, is RCA input plug easily reparable? thanks a lot Arnaud

Sometimes if I 'wiggle' the jack it can affect the sound. I noticed as well that when i remove the mini jack from Airport express, i touch it with my fingers and put it back inside airport express, then the sound is better, but for fe minutes. like if by touching the mini jack, i remove some kind micro electricity inside the cable. anyway, i'll try to clean my plugs. even if i it's almost new.. Thanks for your help last option is to send the AE through the window... what i am about to do!!!!!

Dear Eloise, I confirm 3 sperate devices, 4 if we consider ipad I used 3 totally different cables from different manufacturers bought in different shops. The plug is not stopped by anything... It sounds like the cables are the problem, right? Should i buy a high quality cable?? Arnaud

just tried a 3d cable music is ok (i felt so stupid) But… Within few minutes, the problem is back!!!! do you think i need a pre amplifier? maybe the signal is too small coming out of my devices

If i invert the plugs (red on white and white on red), sound still comes from one speaker, but the other one… Did it with 2 cables already!

Hihihi thanks for your Help Airport Express is connected to Mistral through analog cable. One side is plug like ear phones (connected to Airport), other side is jack (one red one blue) Mistral (lamp amplifier), has 3 "in", 2 with red and white round plug (CD and AUX), one USB for iPhone cable and one line in like small iPhone plug I use either CD or AUX and same problem, each channel has only one speaker working if i use iPhone, iPad, airport express or Mac book. Music can come from iTunes or Spotify, same problem. If i use same channels with a ken wood CD player, no problem I hope it's clearer, sorry i'm not that used to this kind of vocabulary… So French ;-)

Hello Souptin, I don't read CDs I use iTunes or spotify through iPad, iPhone or Mac Book pro I did: - Switch speakers - both are ok - Change cables - same problem - plug ipad, iphone or Mac directly through same cable - saw problem - when i plug my CD player (different device) then it is ok I don't see what can be the problem...
