  1. ^^ Thanks! I didn't realize till tonight that the offering has extra tracks. This along with the SQ recommendation = purchase. I wish they had some other versions/takes of Goodbye, which is my favorite track on the CD.
  2. Oh wow, Parkening. Haven't heard that name in a long time, but yeah, I did have some of his CDs too. Will have to track those down as well. Thanks!
  3. Thanks, looks like Universal Music will allow me to download these. Once I get home, I'll give it a go. Right now, I'm going the downloads route since they're easier to track down.
  4. Still looking for the other recommendations in here, but the two above I was able to download from Linn. Yes, excellent recordings and playing by William Carter, whom I've not listened to before. Thanks again, and to everyone else's suggestions. Keep 'em coming if you have more.
  5. I come back to some wonderful recommendations. Thanks, guys! And yes, nice read, Musicophile...looking forward to checking those out. I think I have (had) just about every one of those Breams.
  6. Thanks, great variety and including Yepes' arrangement at the end.
  7. Cool, I will check this one out as well. Thanks!
  8. I was looking more for solo, or even a small arrangement. But I will check out the above too. Thanks!
  9. Hey All, any hi-rez (or well-recorded CD) recommendations of classical guitar recordings? I had a Bream CD back in grad school that I really enjoyed, but will have to search CDs in storage to remember which one it was. Anyways, I'd love to get some recommendations. Thanks.
  10. Now they have a Valentine's 15% off code for the next 72 hours - VIPVALENTINE.
  11. Thanks, fred, for those graphs. Interesting findings. I guess as long as that's what you're hearing in the DSD version, I feel at ease.
  12. I'm not near my rig at the moment, but definitely on the last track (All a Dream), right in the beginning is some hissing, as well as throughout the song. It's quite easy to pick up because it's a minimalist, bass-driven track and not much other instruments till the end. Thanks for checking!
  13. I purchased this copy directly from Acoustic Sounds. Just wondering if others who did the same are experiencing this issue. Otherwise, I will contact them for an explanation. Thanks.
  14. Do you (or anybody else) have a copy of this 176/24 version? There is significant hiss on some tracks. At first I thought it was the noise floor from my amp, but no other albums exhibit the same hiss with the same set up.
