In reply to post #1957 regarding the Sonore Signature PSU, why no picture of the insides? Most audio companies show the insides of their components, proud of the engineering. Spending that kind of money, I don't think that is to much to ask for even if there "really is not anything spectacular to look at internally".

Nice one. I've been there, soldering smd etc. It had to fit in a custom cnc'd case, and height was also the problem. The goal was to get it as slim as possible. (50 mm, a nightmare in 2004!) Out of curiosity, what kind of design do you have in mind? Ronnie

Out of experience, "Chinatobby" (seller on Ebay) has the best range of lcd's. Very easy diy. Like this one: 3.5 inch including controllerboard ,keyboard etc.

Maczrool, You can get great lcd modules (including controllerboards) of any kind and size on Ebay. Ronnie

Thanks Audio_elf. What exactly the difference between the 2 Ports is I will investigate. So no advantage over mini-itx I think besides it's very appealing dimensions. I am going to mill a small 3 compartment aluminium cube,which will hold the electronics, dac,etc. A kind of a squeezebox,but it's front will display large albumart and graphics which I miss from my squeezebox.

Is it possible to use the Sotm card with à NUC without compromise ? I mean : what would be required cabelwise to run the card on the NUC without degrading it ? The case will not be the problem,as I am planning to build my own.
