I've been using Audirvana for a couple years now. I absolutely cannot complain regarding the sound quality. Full-on audiophile. BUT, it's a one man show and very prone to glitches. Damien is extremely prompt when there are issues. There is no room to complain regarding his customer service or commitment to the software. I am a loyal use. Today, I stayed. I downloaded JRiver. Wow, is the interface slick! Sound quality seems there as well. For those of you who are familiar with both, what are your thoughts?

I love classical but it's fun to break things up. Consistently excellent Retro 80's with superb sound quality.

Can anyone tell me how to stop iTunes from opening everytime I put in a CD?

I'm not sure about the combination of EIM's and running. Under $200 is my budget.

What do you use for running? I have gone through many earphones and have yet to be satisfied.

Thank you. I downloaded and ripped my first flac. At the highest it rips at 16 / 44.1 kHz. Why does it not rip at 24 / 96 kHz stereo? Please excuse my ignorance.

What is considered the best software (or your favorite) when ripping a CD to FLAC on a Mac? Your input is much appreciated. Thank you!

First off, thank you for this forum and all of you who post. It has been an excellent recourse for me over the past month. A few weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and upgrade my system. I purchased KEF LS50 speakers, an Outlaw RR2150 receiver and a Parasound DAC. It's been wonderful. Presently, I listen to FLAC's using Audirvana Plus. I also happen to have boxes upon boxes of CD's in my attic. Question: should I purchase a CD player, such as the Emotiva ERC-3, or rip the CD's to FLAC? Is there an audible difference in sound quality? Thank you in advance for your response!
