  1. Thanks if this works, my frustration level will drop precipitously.
  2. Now running A4L with High Sierra, have not yet started with IRQ 1.2.4 download and set up. I agree the sound seems to have improved, or at least I want it to. I can now understand some of the many frustrations using A4L. I am going to ride it out for awhile. Thanks for all your posts
  3. Hola I have Mac-mini mid 2011 and I am in the process of replacing the current drive with a samsung 850 SSD, I am currently running A3 symphony and IRQ. I also did the Black Friday A4L purchase. Quick questions, is there a consensus that High Sierra OS is ok with A4L and IRQ? I am currently on Yosemite 10.10.5. And wanted to confirm (saw the recommendation from Lio-B) that it is best to delete all Amarra and do a clean install when moving to A4L and IRQ? Thanks Ron
  4. Adding to the database, New User, Updated my mini to Mavericks, and although I did not need to, I removed Audirvana I received my XTZ microphone and created a few filters with the IRC. The design of my listening room and WAF limitations had made sonic accuracy out of the question. The IRC was worth the price of admission. (qualifier) I am not a golden eared audiophile. The most striking improvement was imaging. Wow. Cleaning up the bass was interesting. At first I wondered where it all went. But then I adjusted my curves and eased up on the drop off. Listened through some Eva Cassidy Live at Blues Alley, with the IRC on and off and realized what I had thought was good bass prior to IRC, was really just a room nodes paradise. Re: the high frequency, still messing around here. Listening without IRC seems comparably shrill, but with IRC-something is amiss. Biggest headache for me is that I am using a headless mac mini. I hook it up to a HDMI monitor by way of my HT receiver. I was in the habit of turning off the HT receiver or just unplugging the HDMI cable. After that I was using my ipad and the splashtop app. Was working fine for awhile. It was curious to me that the problems did not start right away. Then it was painful, the skips, and then pretty much Amarra would just quit. Now that I have figured out why, I leave the receiver on. I ordered a mini-port to VGA adapter and I am going to add the resistor and see if that does it. (as mentioned in the sonic studio FAQ) Otherwise I will get a longer HDMI cable and hook it up to an open HDMI port on the TV. Anybody out there had a problem with the mini port to VGA adapter solution?, or have it cause irreparable damage to you mac? Otherwise, I am a mostly satisfied listener, with much tweaking to come. Thanks Ron
  5. I am being a little dense, but are you saying that Amarra WILL NOT allow two projects. The reason I ask is that I have two speaker positions. The preferable position is when the speakers are puled out into the room. This is 80% of the time. Second position is the WAF position where they are pushed back into the corner. In that position, the bass gets pretty messy.
  6. Have Amarra all loaded and running. I am am waiting for the microphone to show up. Is there any way to have 2 different IRQ settings for 2 different speaker positions? Thanks
  7. Amarra virgin, Downloading Symphony with IRC, Does Uninstall of Audirvana make things noticeable easier? Thanks Ron
