  1. I really do not have much to compare them to, but this setup, to me, is very enjoyable. This combo sounds magnificent. I guess i am a bit confused on the replies, probably because I am new. The BitPerfect App basically took away any effects on the volume slider on my OS and iTunes. Their is a volume slider on the BitPerfect app and a knob on my speakers. Should one be at 100% and the other used to adjust the actual volume...or?
  2. Random question. Im using BitPerfect with Itunes and the volume control on Itunes and My OSX do nothing. From which i have gathered seem normal. Now should i have the volume slider on BitPerfect preference set to 100% and control the volume through the knob on my Swan's....or?
  3. My desk is up against a glass closet door in which i dont use. Unfortunately my room size does not allow me to move them any further away then they currently are. It is positioned directly in front of my bed where i occasionally enjoy a movie.
  4. How should the speakers be positioned for listening? Right now they are slightly angled but not pointed directly at me.
  5. So i have had this crappy Sony DVD surround sound hooked up to my computer for years. Besides it lacking in the sound department, i lost some speakers in a move and the Sub stopped working. After lots of google searching, and hearing this "audiophile" term for the 1st time i finally have a decent setup. I actually cant stop listing to my setup, and it has nothing on 99.99% of the members here. I have a feeling this new found appreciation for accurate music reproduction is going to hinder my pocket in the near future. Either way here is my beginner setup for now. 6. I have not seen a thread like this. Maybe their is one? We all like photos. Post a photo of your setup. I wont have mine until xmas so no photos from me, yet.
  7. Hello, So i just purchased the Swan M200MkIII and i plan to pair them up with my MacBook Pro. I am waiting on the speakers to arrive and it is killing me. I keep seeing this talk about DAC's and built in DAC's. I know my Swans have a built in amp however no built in DAC, correct? Would my setup benefit from a DAC? Can you recommend me one for $150 or less? I WILL NOT be connecting headphones to this unit. Thanks!
