  1. Hi Chris, When can we expect a write up from your interview? I'm sure you asked some great questions that enquiring minds want to know!
  2. Can't wait to hear your report! I must say, a day ago I thought the Kickstarter approach meant that there was weak support for PONO but after today, I think it was a genius marketing approach. I think they have plenty of funds above the $2million they raised today based on the campaign as a whole and all of the artists they have participating in the marketing. If the artist's labels are also on board, this will be huge from a music distribution and sales outlet. The quantity and quality of the artists in the promo video is pretty impressive. The player is a great way to get more people on board but it's the availability of lossless downloads on the site that could be the tipping point for a change in music format.
  3. Hi, First post here. Long time lurker but wanted to register to comment on this topic. I use iTunes match as a convenience to automatically make my library accessible on all my Apple devices. I have noticed that matched items are sometimes not even the same recording. Same artist and song but either a much different mix or a different recording all together. My album art also changes quite a lot. I can certainly understand though why the matched song may be a different version as I doubt there is any industry standard to distinguish between versions of the same song outside of the description. Still it's a nice feature to have songs automatically added for my mobile devices when I've ripped a CD or purchased from HDTracks. Bottom line for me is to keep the original file in my library and not count on iTunes match to actually be a cloud backup of my library. Scott
