  1. But they are also responsible for inventing champagne **strictly of topic Over the weekend I will do some tcp dumps on their remote protocol for the IOS dump. Sadly enough they did not answer my request to get the specs for this - so let's try some light reverse engineering. A UPNP endpoint unlikely fits to devialets philosophy. I would be happy with a Linux driver for the air protocol. For the time being I am using a wandboard connected via USB as DLNA endpoint .
  2. I hope you allow me to join the Devialet community. You might excuse my horrible far from beeing native language, when I give you my 5 cent on my Devialets: I used to own a d premier (connected to a pair of magico V2´s) which is currently on holliday for the full update to become a 240 in France. I decided for the update after I had borrowed a 240 from my local dealer and and even using exactly the same setup the difference was quite substantial: 1 : While i was allready very happy with the d premier, then 240 sound more a bit more musical to me. Especially on titles like "Chie Ayado: Only You" or hearing the wonderfull stockfisch recordings from Alan Taylor it feals more live. It is the difference in between "this sound really great " and "tipping your tows because you can´t hold it back". 2: The MC Input (using an oracle delphi with SME V and a Clearaudio Wood) is now substantially better. It is now on par with my old EMT prepre. Better definition of female voices, more clarity on large ensembles. 3: Getting rid of this stupid Wifi stuff makes my life a lot easier. Living in an preatty HF noisy enviroment, I hat to change channels frequently and higres streaming was not stable. The Ethernet port works great and the USB port is also a big plus. I am really looking forward to have my upgrade D back before Christmass :-) However the biggest suprise was the Devialet 110 which I bought for my downstairs listening room. He has to fill in for his big brother while he is on holliday and besides the Phono input the performance is almost up to the 240. Only on very few occasions I am missing the full power, but the 110 Watt per channel feel almost like tube watts . Did anyone of you had a look at the TCP/UDP protocoll for the remote control apllet (Android/Apple). I aske Devialet about it, but they will not disclose any information on this. The same holds ture for the calculation of the checksum for the configuration file. With havin network capabilities in all modells, the configuration via SD cards seems to be an odd decisiion. THe device should have processor power to support an embedded webserver doing this? A great feature would be a bidirectional Air protocoll (or a bidirectional USB implementation) for ripping Vinyl. Did anyone allready received his updated d premier back?
