Struggling to get HQPlayer working with Roon on my Windows machine. Can't see a way to enable Network Control within HQPlayer (that globe icon in the screenshot on the Roon help page doesn't exist on my installation). Any thoughts from Windows HQPlayer users please? Cheers.

Hi. Just noticed this thread. I'm the chap who posted that review on Head-Fi. I'm frankly surprised to see a misguided comment, on this of all forums, about using a [insert random brand] laptop as a source. I use various laptops as sources in high end headphone systems ($10k+) and they can perform extremely well. Suggesting a "Dell" laptop is incapable of being an excellent source by any standards is just pure nonsense.

Hercules is indeed a reseller for the Pulse. He bought 10+ units and was one of the first to publicise the bugs in the original firmware...which rather than thanks, earned him a ban on the LH forum. I've exchanged PMs with him over there a few times and he's ligit as far as I'm concerned. I'm not surprised he's dumping his stock as he was concerned about selling them at RRP through his shop due to the bugs and "features" such as the power on/off pop.
