  1. SHORT VERSION: My current speakers have a standalone control dial seen here. I'm getting a new set of speakers for Christmas that do not, making it incredibly inconvenient to switch between my speakers/headphones. Is there an easier way to do this than crawling behind my computer desk and physically swapping the cables? LONG VERSION: I currently have an old pair of Logitech speakers (2 speakers, 1 sub). There is a standalone dial (picture) that sits on my desk which I can use to control the volume, and it also has a convenient headphone jack. When it's late at night and I want to switch from using my speakers to my headphones, all I have to do is plug them in. However, this Christmas I'm looking to replace my speakers with this set here: Harman Kardon Soundsticks III (Wireless) A friend has this set and I'm blown away by them in terms of both quality and appearance. (I'll be using them wired for my computer setup.) The problem with this as you can probably expect, is that they don't have a standalone dial. While it may be a bit less convenient to adjust the volume on the speaker itself, I can live with that. The main issue is that now switching between headphones and speakers would mean going to the back of my computer tower and physically swapping the plugs; even moreso of an issue because my computer is in a cabinet which allows minimal access to the rear panel. Also, the power button for the speakers is on the underside of the subwoofer which will be near my feet. Is there some way (perhaps a device) that would allow me to easily swap between headphones and speakers without having to crawl behind my desk and physically swap the cables every time? (Possibly with a volume knob so that adjusting my headphone volume wouldn't have to be done through the computer itself) THANK YOU!
