Ok Guys, Here is my problem. My office at work is completely devoid of sound. So, I need to start from the ground up. Conditions are lees than optimum, and equipment will be limited.
Ordinarily, I would just go out and buy a cheap set of computer speakers from my local big box store, but it just sounds SO bad and I am now spending more time than ever in the office. My source will be a simple laptop playing a combination of lossless files, mp3, and yes... even internet radio.
My criteria is simple, Clean clear sound from very small speakers. Luckily, bass response is not an issue, because I don't need it carrying to the adjacent offices
My budget is flexible, but I would like to keep it in the sub $500 range.
So I was considering the Audioengine a2+ as an all in one solution. A5's, Vanatoo, Airmotiv 4's, Kef x300's, Paradigm a2's, Focal xs, are all larger than I want. I am trying to keep the visibility low.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
