  1. I've tried that since it's the type B connection is the one which accepts the highest resolution but it didn't work. The iPad turns out the message "the connected device requires too much power" and it doesn't play at all. Yes. That's how I'm playing my iPad audio right now but I'm suspecting that the lower resolution of that USB connection is downsampling my Hi-Rez audio. That would be great but my Amplifier is an AVI LSI S21 so no AV inputs. Any other way to verify Arcam's outputted sample rate?
  2. Hello all, I've tried to obtain some information from the WWW with no avail on what I'm about to ask you so here it goes: I've bought an Arcam irDAC and I'm trying to play some 24/192 audio files through a physically connected iPad to USB class I on irDAC from an Home Shared library (on my MacBook Pro). I know that the USB class I is rated 96kHz tops but the manual doesn't specify if it is 16 or 24 BIT depth (I assume it is 24?). Anyway. Is irDAC playing 96kHz audio from my iPad USB class I without downsampling it to CD quality? The DAC plays my 192kHz audio from USB class I streamed from my MBP to my iPad but if that connection only allows for 96kHz I assume it is downsampling the audio. I've tried to connect my iPad to Arcam's irDAC USB class II input but as soon as I connect them the iPad shows a warning message saying that "the connected device requires too much power" and it won't play. I've also tried the iPad Camera Connection Kit route but the message was the same and no play. Is there any other way to connect the iPad and stream Hi-Rez audio to the irDac? Or any other way to do it work? A side question: I've connected my Rega Jupiter to the irDac by optical cable. From the moment I've done it I know that the Jupiter is a mere transport and the conversion is done by the Arcam's DAC. The thing is that I'm finding the Jupiter sound a bit more "open" than the irDac playing the same tracks from a CD quality audio file. Why's that? Shouldn't both sources sound alike since they are converted from the same DAC? Sorry for so many questions. Your expertise will be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
