Feature Request It's very fun to try all the different filters HQPlayer provides, but given our short audio memory, it would be very neat to be able to change filters on the fly vs. having to restart the music source. Is that technically possible? If so, any chance that's on the feature roadmap? Thanks!

Hi, with GPU prices back to normal, I purchased a RTX 3080 Ti 12GB fo CUDA offload. However, I can’t seem to find in this thread the filters that use VRAM to try. Would someone be able to point me in the right direction? I vaguely recall there was a filter that needed the 12GB of ram. Thank you!

HQPlayer stops working if another program uses port 8088 in Windows Hi, running HQPlayer on Windows and installed another program that uses port 8088 and it seems when that program is running, HQPlayer stops working. I changed the program to use another port and HQPlayer is working again. Posting this in case others run into same issue since it took me a bit to track down the issue. Why does HQPlayer rely on port 8088 and if there a way to change the port it uses to a less common port? Thank you!

    HQ Player

Hi, just wanted to share something I discovered in case others have the same issue: it seems HQPlayer will on “work” if there is an active audio device on the Windows PC it is running on and Windows Audio Service must be running. This is true even if HQPlayer is set to output to an NAA. Took me a while to realize that.

Thank you again! Changing the metric worked for me and now it works after wake. Really appreciate your help.

That's really cool...thank you. Unfortunately, the metric change didn't solve the issue. Not sure if it's related, but I'm also finding that Roon also cannot "play" to this HQPlayer. I've made sure the "network" button is "on" on HQPlayer. So strange.

Is there a version of HQPlayer Desktop for ubuntu 22.04? The 20.04 version doesn't seem to want to install!

Oh sorry I misunderstood....unfortunately, I do need those things on this PC. In the past, I just left it on 24/7 and so never noticed the issue, but electricity prices and gone up the roof and also in an effort to be more green, I'm trying to sleep what I'm not using...hopefully, there can be a fix.

It's weird because everything else such as Roon and the Sonos Controller works fine on wake and I think they also use multicast. It's just HQPlayer that's losing connect. Are there any settings I can try to adjust in HQPlayer? Like select the interface to use? Thanks!

Thanks...unfortunately, the same issue occurs when I put the PC to sleep manually...

Yes, I do have multiple interfaces. I have a two port 10G NIC, the regular 1G motherboard NIC and also the Hyper-V virtual switch/NIC. Is there a way to specify a specific NIC to use? Or another solution? Thank you!

    HQ Player

Hi, running HQPlayer Desktop on Windows 11 playing to a Pi 4 NAA. I notice that when my PC goes to sleep and I wake it up, I can no longer connect to the NAA and under settings, the list of available NAA is blank. But all other networking such as browsers, SMB network shares, network printers etc. works. Closing HQPlayer and restarting does not solve the issue. Only a reboot of the Windows machine will restore connection to the NAA. Anyone else experience this?

    HQ Player

Hi, is anyone able to connect HQPlayer from Roon when HQPlayer is running on a Windows 10/11 machine with Hper-V enabled? I find that Roon is unable to connect to HQPlayer in this configuration. In order to get it to work, I have to disable the vEthernet network connection that is installed and enabled by Hyper-V. Any help in solving this issue would be greatly appreciated since it would be great to be able to run both HQPlayer and Hyper-V on my fastest machine. Thanks!
