Windows Server 2012 R2 runs out of the box in my single pc setup on D54250WYP. I do not use network connectivity.

I finally completed my Intel NUC setup last week and are really happy with the SQ now. The setup is based on the Intel Haswell i5 D54250WYB in a fanless Tranquil PC chassis. The software setup consists of Windows Server 2012 R2, Audiophile Optimizer 1.23 and JPLAY 5.2 (with KS, Directlink, etc.). From the beginning I realized that the end-to-end power supply of the NUC was audibly the weak spot so I added three components to improve SQ: - external li-ion battery pack (153kWh), - AQVOX low noise USB power supply, - iFi iPurifier USB filter. The quantum leap was really the AQVOX USB power supply complemented by some minor refinements of the iPurifier. This highres audio source takes my Gold Note DAC-7 + PSU-7 to another level.

I have a Dell Precision M 4700 Mobile Workstation, i7 2.7 Ghz, 2x SSD, 32 GB RAM. I use a single PC setup with JPLAYmini.

I just set up a new Windows Server 2012 R2 Core Installation with AudiophileOptimizer 1.21 and JPLAY 5.2 Beta 14 and it is buy far the best SQ I ever had. The System is configured with lowest USB driver latency and JPLAY set to KS/directlink/native bitstream. The results with 24/88.2 and 24/96 flac files are just amazing.
