  1. Apparently there is an v1.89b available from their website.
  2. I've had no problems with v 1.89. I had gone through all the 1.88 alphabet updates but the recent update was just plain 1.89. Just fired it up this morning and there were no updates to the v 1.89. Have played it for many hours since update with no issues. Sounds great.
  3. I unchecked the gapless option as suggested on the Pure Music site. Have had no issues. Of course gapless albums are not gapless at this time if you're using the computer's memory for playback.
  4. Downloaded 1.88d4 earlier in the week and finally upgraded to iTunes 11.1 this morning. All looks good!
  5. Just for amusement, what is the Mortar power supply upgrade going to really do for me?
  6. I have had the Wavelength Proton in my system for several years. Love it. But in the spirit of always improving the system, I'm considering upgrading the DAC. The Brick is high on the list. Here is the response I got from Gordon comparing the two: "The Brick is a significant increase in performance compared to the Proton. Not only the increase in volume, but the dynamics and tonal differences are significant. The Tube output stage also adds a bit more warmth and openness to the sound." This is the kind of upgrade I'm looking for. Output on the Proton requires the volume to be cranked up higher than the other sources hooked up in my system. Don't get me wrong, the Proton is a smokin' piece for ~$900. It brought me into the computer audio age. The Brick come in around $2K with the power upgrade. A nice bump in quality that's not terribly hard on the wallet. Should pull that trigger soon.
  7. I've often thought of upgrading my power. Currently have a pair of 30+ year old Crown PL3's. New they pounded out 280 per channel. Still sound great matched up with my Levinson No. 380 per amp. Every time I start looking, I question the investment of an additional $5K+. This wired4Sound ST500 or ST1000 sounds interesting. Local dealer just does not like these ICE Power class amps. Would be nice to be able to test it out. The quest continues
  8. My bike might actually qualify. Has sound system with radio/iPod/Bluetooth. Is this computer audiophile territory? Have never used the bikes stereo because it really needs Bluetooth connection to helmet. Prefer listening to my music at home. Bikes are for riding. CB
  9. Whatever Gordon supplied with my Wavelength Proton. It's been in the system for over 2 years. Sounds great!

  11. Any thoughts on this apparently new product from Kanex clearly aimed at the Mac Mini? http://www.tuaw.com/2009/10/03/kanex-brings-digital-audio-into-a-display-port-to-hdmi-adapter/ CB
