  1. Native network streaming (ethernet or Wi-Fi) would be ideal.
  2. I just received a pair of Focal Utopia for Christmas (thanks wifey). I need a DAC/amp to go along with it. the dCS Bartok would be an ideal choice but it is outside of my budget currently. I'm thinking of around $2k-3k. I'd be using it for: Tidal Streaming Large Lossless File Library General PC audio (gaming, primarily FPS) I'd like to leverage Roon as well.. What are my options? The Moon 390 looks great but too expensive. Auralic Polaris has no headphone output but might be the best option otherwise? Thanks!
  3. Did you ever build this system? I'm about to go with a CAPS-like server leveraging the Z87 Mini-ITX board and foregoing a USB card for a GTX 750 Ti.
  4. $129 - Logic Supply LGX ML300 - Logic Supply LGX ML300 Fanless NUC | silentpcreview.com Looks pretty good.
  5. Turns out it was due to using the Phono inputs. Thanks. This thread can be deleted.
  6. Confirmed. After reboot Pure Music is behaving identically - I'm at a loss.
  7. Just brought home an Ayre QB-9 DSD. Pretty straightforward to hook up. I decided to wait on purchasing a Mac Mini until the Haswell version comes out but I thought I'd go ahead and configure it to use my MacBook Pro (2012 running Mavericks). RCA out of QB-9 into Integra DHC-80.3 via RCA. RCA from DHC-80.3 to amplifier. Audyssey settings all disabled on Phono. Set to Direct mode. Followed the instructions on Ayre's webpage as best I could though they did not 100% match up to the settings found in audio setup. In any event, every player I try through the DAC has a very distorted sound (Audirvana, Amarra, iTunes native). The only one that works without issue is Pure Music. I have no idea what would be causing this. Any ideas?
  8. Does anyone use a touchscreen interface with their CAPS? I'm considering building a Zuma and would like to replicate something like the Meridian Sooloos interface for my primary system. I did a search and I didn't see much in the way of explicit mentions of multitouch approaches to management though I suspect the JRiver interface will mimic some of the functionality.. it just doesn't appear to be as nice as Sonos, Sooloos, etc.
  9. I am very excited though I still need to build my CAPS v3 (waiting for a Haswell NUC or Mac Mini right now as a temporary fix). I did have a question about cabling however - I have an Integra DHC-80.3 processor with balanced inputs. I am also using an Anthem Statement P5 for my amplification. I could either go DAC -> Proc -> Amp or potentially DAC -> Amp with an analog volume control? Is there any disadvantage with going analog through the processor?
