Hello,I'd like to use raspberry pi 3 + ubuntu for an "audiophile" sound. I have a m2tech Hiface Evo card that is connected to an external DAC.I tried to use mpd + alsa with good results, but I would try to compare it with the Amarok player using Gstreamer phonon. Now, the audiophile sound provides, among other things, the disabling of the volume. Hiface hasn't a hardware or software volume control. In the mpd's config, however, I disabled the mixer with the value "none" and so I am sure I haven't the volume control (in various mpd's front-ends the volume bar is either disabled or has no effect on the sound).I would like to achieve the same result with Amarok and Gstreamer, but I can't find the right command on the web documentation. The Amarok's volume control has effects on reproduction. I precise that I have disabled Pulse. How can I disable/bypass the volume on Gstreamer (or Amarok) settings? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, and it's great, but I use HQPlayer under OSX, so I'd like to know how to solve my problem!

It's possible to use foobar2000 on OSX with Crossover or Wine. My problem is that HQPlayer can't manage CUE files. I have many single files associated with CUEs, so I'd like to find a workaround (but not to split all the files).

Bogi, your great workaround works only under windows or even in a MAC OSX?

Ah ok, so I have to enable only "exclusive access mode" and "integer mode" and I obtain the max sound quality. Right?

Thanks for your fast reply... but if I disable Direct mode I lose the chance to bypass completely CoreAudio, including its low-level layers and the possibility to enable Integer Mode in Mavericks. Is it right? And above all...is it normal?

Hello. I have this problem: I use Audirvana 2.0.2 + M2Tech EVO DAC + OSX 10.9.2 Mavericks and when Audirvana plays a file with a "standard" resolution (16bit/44khz) and then a file with a different resolution (eg. 24bit/192kHz ), and vice-versa, the player stops and doesn't play the next file (with different resolution). The only way to restart it is to press the "stop" button: the audio device is "released" and the player begins to play any file type with any resolution. But every time I want to switch from files with different resolutions I have to press the stop button. Is it normal? Any suggestions?
