  1. OK no worries. I was just confused because it does show that the upgrade is available.
  2. I have the SE with 2.3 on it and it will not upgrade to 2.7. Shows that there is a newer version but the update states there is nothing to do.
  3. Thanks for the review. It is too bad they still don't support a USB DAC connection, I had to remove this from my list of equipment I was looking at a while ago. I'm glad I didn't make a purchase as it seems they still don't have USB working for a DAC connection.
  4. I have the Recovery and had been using it with my W4S-2v2se since last year and with the DAC-2DSDse before that. I think the the MATRIX X-SPDIF 2 via i2s sounds MUCH better than using the Recovery. The sound is bigger more expansive, the imaging became more noticeable. I can also do native DSD up to DSD256 now using the microRendu.
  5. I made a custom hdmi cable so I could swap two pins and the problem was fixed. But this product is absolutely not compatible with the W4S DAC out of the box, confirmed by both Matrix and W4S.
  6. I'm not sure I am reading that right. The UltraDigital is a different product and seems to have jumper settings to fix this problem. So are you suggestion I return the xspdif2 and get an Ultradigital? Or is this something that a new firmware for the microRendu might fix?
  7. So I purchased an xspidf2 last week and just receive the unit yesterday. I am using it with a W4S DAC-2v2se via the i2s unfortunately the xsdif2 plays DSD material out of phase, but only when playing DSD. PCM plays perfectly fine. I have some test tracks that are out of phase halfway through and you can easily hear that it is playing out of phase when in DSD mode. Frustrating that it happens only with DSD material. I’ve tried all combinations of dip switches and configuration changes that I can think of, but I can not get it to stop playing DSD material out of phase. Tried using both roon and hqplayer via microrendu to the xpdif2 into the w4s.
  8. I don't think it works for anyone. Mine does the same thing since a few months after launch.
  9. Look on Amazon then. My vent in my master bath is noisy when the AC kicks on but the ones in the living room are quiet. These are ones in my living room https://www.amazon.com/BRUSHED-NICKEL-CONTEMPORARY-REGISTER-Overall/dp/B016TV4RMU
  10. I don't have that problem but some grills constrict the air flow too much so that you can hear the air as it comes through the vent. Just buy a different vent.
  11. I was told on the phone that dsd256 plays with no problems now via roon. I just sent mine in to be upgraded, so I certainly hope it works.
  12. No still no love from 2.5. I was told to just hang tight, they are working on a fix for this problem. *Edit. I see they have the fix and new cards should be on the way. Yeah!
  13. I've got the same problem. I emailed Jesus two days ago, still waiting for a response.
  14. Streaming is nice, I look at it more of a supplementary service than primary. I still don't think it is ready to be my only means of listening to music. I have been subscribing to various streamers for well over 15 years and they are great but just finally getting to where you have decent quality audio files. Also they lack any decent tagging and artist and album info. Also the constantly pull albums form their catalog due to licencing issues that come back a few months later. Roon offers a much better experience and I get to hear my hires and DSD files too. If you are looking at Spotify Connect why not look at Sonos? It will give you a ton more features.
