  1. Oh ok, i made the assumption that an I pad was a mac. Anyhoo, I may be able to mix garage band in cubase by my ipad buddy tells me he certainly cant mix what i send him on Ipad from cubase and we want it to be a free flow between the two set ups. any other ideas? thanks for thoughts so far all the best James.
  2. no, audacity is not an app for ipad unfortunately.
  3. Hi Everyone, My buddy and I are both musicians and we would like to collaborate on a recording project together. He is in the USA and I am in the UK, distance is not really the issue as we can send each other files, mix and edit and send em back. We are interested in recording and mixing audio files like voice and acoustic instruments (not MIDI). We are looking for a ‘light’ piece of software, we probably don't need more than 10 audio tracks for multitracking and minimal effects etc, just basic audio recording and editing software. The problem is that he is a mac user on an ipad and I am a PC user on win XP. I can install from a disc but I am assuming that for his Ipad it must be a downloadable app. at the moment I have Cubase and he has garage band and never the twain shall meet. So my question is, what software is out there that is compatible for both mac and PC and will cross platforms and import file types from both operating systems…does it exist? Price is important too something under $100 (or £80) would be preferable or even freeware if its any good. We are both seasoned Cubase and Garage band users so not newbies to home recording just new to the idea of cross platform recording and exchanging files for editing. any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks Bobcat.
