  1. Thank you so much - I wondered whether I hadn't found any references because it would turn out to be something so simple! Problem sorted. Thank you again.
  2. Hi, I've been searching the internet without luck for a while now and many of the different searches I tried brought me here. As you seem like a knowledgeable lot I thought I would register and see if you can help out my problem. I have iTunes 11.1.2 on an iMac. My music is stored on an external USB drive in a hierarchy of music / artists / artist name / album Most is in apple lossless format with some mp3 I only really use iTunes in order to load albums on to my iPhone / iPods. When I add a new CD to my media library I always struggle to get iTunes to recognise it and bring it in. I usually resort to going into preferences, going to the advanced tab, resetting and then repointing the iTunes Media Folder location to my USB drive This usually does the trick but recently a whole load of material I added will not appear in iTunes. Whilst investigating I noticed that there are a whole heap of other albums that haven't been pulled in as well. What am I doing wrong here? I have attached a pic of my advanced settings - I have tried enabling and disabling "Keep iTunes Media folder organised" with no discernable difference. Thanking you all in advance for any advice or pointers you are able to give me. David
