  1. I own a Mu-so. I can't quite understand why all the critical comments are being made about this unit, especially by those who haven't heard it. After all, it is intended as a single piece design, not separates. While it isn't inexpensive I find it worth the extra dollars over the less expensive competing products I have owned. I use Airplay to listen to uncompressed CD's i have in iTunes and Tidal. This item is not meant to be the final word in audio; it is meant to be a convenient package using more modern streaming technologies to provide above average results instead of using separates. It accomplishes this goal admirably. There is no way a serious audiophile would mistake this for a truly high end system but they will be surprised and pleased with this as a second or third system used to provide better than decent results, in a room where installing a larger system does not make sense or please the wife! I have placed some Stillpoint SS Mini's under mine and it sounds significantly better than before. It is being used for background music in my vacation home living/dining room. I am extremely pleased with it successfully fulfilling this purpose. Since I have a Devialet 200 in my office at my primary residence I did look closely at the Phantom. It wasn't the dollars that drove this decision. The Phantom is more of a louder rock out speaker, not such a refined sounding piece. Perhaps a future version of that will end up in place of the Mu-so someday. popspin
  2. Mains Cables R Us has a return policy. I bought MeiCord from them recently and, based on much reading after I ordered them, was prepared to send them back. I was using lower end Ethernet cables between my router and NAS and router and player. Hooked up the new cables and was surprised to hear an improvement. I am not sure if good quality Belden from BlueJeansCable wouldn't have the same result. But the MeiCord's are installed and sound good so they are staying in place.
  3. Hi Kal; I am trying to control a McIntosh MVP891 Blu-Ray player that uses the D&M Media Player software. It is identical to software used in the Marantz UD7007 Blu-Ray Media Player. Looked like DeRemote would be great for receivers. I might be stuck with the current software which is somewhat archaic. That would be unfortunate. Maybe McIntosh would modify this new Marantz software for their use?
  4. Hi David; Do you think this might work with McIntosh's implementation of Marantz's Media Center app? If so that would be a great solution to controlling the player.
