  1. Bob, thank you for the info you share in this and other posts , though much of it is above my paygrade. I was wondering if you could provide some context to illuminate me on your decision regarding "removing the Hue lighting and ... replacing it with the new NanoLeaf Essentials".
  2. USB DAC can't be selected in dietpi-config in USBridge. I have set it to HDMI, USB 1.1 etc. and back to USB-DAC but did not help. DAC is Benchmark DAC3. I have checked that it runs in USB2 mode and restarted it. Worked perfectly before. Issue appeared after disconnecting USBridge from power. It happens on both AC and DC. I clean-installed latest dietpi on USBridge EMMC card: DietPi v6.24.1 : 09:49 - Sat 25/05/19 ───────────────────────────────────────────────────── Device model : Sparky SBC (armv7l) aplay -l results: **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: atm7059link [atm7059_link], device 0: ATC2603C PCM atc2603c-dai-0 [] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: atm7059link [atm7059_link], device 1: HDMI PCM atm7059-hdmi-dai-1 [] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: atm7059link [atm7059_link], device 2: SPDIF PCM atm7059-spdif-dai-2 [] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Also followed suggestions on https://dietpi.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2483. The issue happened before I reinstalled. My USBridge was purchased from Allo on Apr 18, 2018 (so just about a month out of warranty...). Thanks for any help.
  3. Issue is back after a reboot some minutes later. USBridge does not show up in Roon. Working with Allo in private messages to identify what's causing this and resolve it.
  4. Issue seems to have gone all by itself after two days (Today Monday, after a weekend without music, of course)... I received a fast response from Allo Service and would like to thank them, although there was no need to do anything after all.
  5. By the way, I find that I have to physically unplug/plug the USBridge when I click on Reboot on the Web GUI (on DietPi 6.7-9). Is that how it should be?
  6. Plus, when I extracted DietPi_SparkySBC-ARMv7-Stretch_AlloGUI.7z I got an error for 'wrong checksum'.
  7. Updated DietPi to 6.9 using Allo Web GUI, and USBridge has disappeared from Roon. I can see USBridge is functioning at dietpi.local. I've been looking at DietPi clean install instructions and they're not helping me much (linux newbie). Also, I'd rather not open the USBridge case, as I know there's arrangements for heat removal I'm afraid I'd break. My USBridge was purchased 04/17/2018.
  8. A question, gentlemen: Audirvana Plus 2.5.2 with Tidal sometimes appears to be playing 24bits and sometimes 16bits on my M-Dac display. It seems to depend on the album. Since Tidal is 16/44.1, shouldn’t that be 16bits always?
  9. I would be grateful if someone could confirm if iTunes 'Up Next' feature is working with Audirvana Plus v.2 or not. I refer to the feature that lets you select the next tracks to play in iTunes. It does not seem to work for me. Thanks!
  10. He promptly responded to my e-mail. Please note that this fix caused Carbon Copy Cloner to silently fail to initiate its scheduled backup tasks. CCC also stores a file 'com.bombich.ccchelper' in folder 'PrivilegedHelperTools'. When I restarted CCC helper, though, it went about its tasks happily.
  11. Thank you Orgel, but Damien was quick to provide the solution over e-mail (thank you Damien!). Here it is, if anyone has the same issue: Using Terminal application, enter the following commands: sudo chgrp wheel /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools sudo chmod 1755 /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools
  12. Thank you both wwaldmanfan and Freann! Freann, you were spot on: I repaired permissions and managed to at least get a different error message this time: "There was an error installing SysOptimizer, due to a permissions issue. Installation can't proceed due to a potential security risk. Please check the permissions of /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools. It must be 755, and owned by root, with group wheel" Problem is, no such folder exists in that location. I tried creating it and manually setting permissions, but finding the recommended settings above was beyond me. EDIT: Finally found PrivilegedHelperTools, not in User/Library but the main system library. Permissions are System Read & Write, Admin Read, Everyone Read Only. I don't know how to change settings appropriately. Thanks!
  13. Hi, first post here, searched for answer to this issue but found none. Whenever i start Audirvana + 2.* and start playback I get the message: "The SysOptimizer needs to install" asking for an administrator password. I enter the password. Then I'm asked for the password for a second time. I enter it. Then I get the message: "SysOptimizer Error. There was an error executing SysOptimizer. Not all optimizations may be done." This happens every time I start Audirvana + 2.* Thanks for any help.
